The boys cross-country team were Liberty League Champions this fall! Both teams participated in the Section 3 Cross-Country Championships at Chittenango. The girls team placed fourth overall in the Sectional Championships. Congratulations to the boys team, the Section 3 Class C Champions for the second year in a row. The sectional championship qualified the boys to compete at the NYSPHSAA championships, where they placed fifth.
Scholar-Athlete teams: The New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) honors those teams whose student athletes excel in the classroom. NYSPHSAA has a minimum number of athletes on each team whose first quarter average must be used to calculate the team GPA. Teams with a GPA of 90 percent and higher qualify as Scholar Athlete teams, and the individual students that contributed to the team GPA are recognized with a scholar athlete pin. Congratulations to the following Marcellus teams named Scholar Athlete Teams for Fall 2016:
  • Girls soccer
  • Boys soccer
  • Girls tennis
  • Girls volleyball
  • Girls cross-country
