Junior Hunter Nitsch captures national motocross championship

Aug. 8, 2019 -- Congratulations to Hunter Nitsch, incoming junior at Marcellus High School, who captured first place in his class (125 C) at the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship held July 29 through Aug. 3, at the Loretta Lynn Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. He also took second place in the 250 C class.
 
Hunter, 16, has been riding and racing since age 5, according to his mother, Lisa. He has been the New York state champion in previous years and won many local district championships.
 
According to the event’s website, more than 1,500 riders competed in 36 classes for the chance to earn the title of amateur national champion.

Way to go, Hunter!
