Welcome to the Marcellus Central Schools Personnel and Employment Site. 

The Marcellus Central Schools are located in the village of Marcellus, New York (population 11,000), about 12 miles southwest of Syracuse, the state's fifth largest city. Approximately 1400 students attend these schools that are served by 300 full-time and part-time faculty and staff members in a variety of positions. The Central New York area provides a diverse blend of urban, suburban and rural areas along with a wealth of educational, recreational and employment opportunities.

The District operates three school buildings, all of which are in excellent condition:

  • Kathryn C. Heffernan Elementary - grades K-3 with 450 students
  • Chester S. Driver Middle School - grades 4-8 with 500 students 
  • Marcellus Senior High School - grades 9-12 with 450 students

Students in Marcellus score in the highest 5% of the students in New York on standardized achievement tests. Marcellus High School consistently receives excellent SAT scores with critical reading averages of 600 or more and math averages of over 600, with more than half the senior class taking the exam.  Graduating classes have approximately a 91% rate of achieving Regents diplomas or Regents with Advanced Designation, which places the high school in the "select company" of the most prestigious high schools in New York State. Marcellus High School has had multiple National Merit Finalists in recent years.

Payment:The cost of fingerprinting is $100.25.  All credit card payments must be made onsite at the time of the fingerprinting session.

 When instructional positions become available they will be posted here and on OLAS (Online Application Service). Be sure to apply for all instructional permanent positions through OLAS and also upload all supporting documents to OLAS.
