Voters Pass 2025-26 Budget

The Marcellus Central School District's $42.3 million budget passed with a vote of 406 yes and 151 no on Tuesday.
The budget called for a 1.5 percent increase in spending over 2024-25 and carries a 3.46 percent tax levy increase.
Voters also approved the second proposition on the ballot, which is to purchase student transportation vehicles. The final tally was 388 yes and 171 no.
The third proposition for the library levy was also approved with a vote of 411 yes and 150 no.
Three members were elected to the Board of Education. Joshua Matousek led the way with 449 votes, while Erica Poquadeck had 445 votes and Jennifer Tedesco had 439 votes.
