Backpack Weekend Food Program
The Marcellus Food Pantry is located in the First Presbyterian Church at the corner of Main and North Street. The Food Pantry serves families living within the Marcellus District who meet income guidelines. Families who exceed income guidelines that are experiencing a food emergency are also encouraged to utilize the Food Pantry for a one time visit. Please see the flyer for the Food Pantry hours. If the posted hours are a barrier to your accessing food, please contact the Food Pantry to arrange an appointment time.
In the fall of 2025, the Food Pantry, in collaboration with Marcellus Central School District, created the Marcellus Backpack Weekend Food Program. The Backpack Program will help alleviate the increased cost of groceries for families who meet the federal household income requirements. Each week a bag of food will be discreetly sent home with participating students. Parents have the option to pick up the bag of food at the designated location on campus. The bags will consist of easy to prepare, nutritious, child friendly breakfast, lunch and snack foods. For more information please contact your child's Guidance Counselor
If you are experiencing food insecurity, are in a food crisis or need a hand up, please contact the Marcellus Food Pantry. The Marcellus Food Pantry will work with local families to provide healthy foods and meals in a time sensitive, confidential and compassionate manner.
