Marcellus operates a vehicle fleet that includes 30 large (66-passenger) school buses, seven 30-passenger buses (four equipped with wheelchair lift stations), four Suburbans and two vans. In the 2012-13 school year, the district’s buses served 1,961 public and private school students (from 16 schools), traveling a total of 418,915 miles. In 2013-14, the Marcellus transportation department has 33 routes and makes 38 stops outside the district on a regular schedule. The NYS Department of Transportation inspects school buses twice each year. For the 2012-13 school year, Marcellus buses had a 97.9 percent passing rate.
